Welcome to the Second Edition of the Dure Technologies Nigeria Newsletter, covering the second quarter of 2026. It has been a busy and rewarding few months, marked by deep engagement across public health, digital innovation, and environmental governance. From coordinating with the Department of Public Health on GC8 readiness, to contributing to the Integrated Service Delivery Framework, to standing alongside partners at the Nigeria Environmental Summit and the 6th Africa Digital Health Summit, our team has continued to champion data-driven, people-centred, and sustainable solutions for Nigeria.
In this edition, we share reflections from these engagements and the progress being made toward a more integrated, resilient, and digitally empowered Nigeria. DPH Coordination Meeting: Advancing Integrated, Data-Driven Public Health Systems for GC8 Readiness

We appreciate the invitation to participate in the First Quarter 2026 Department of Public Health (DPH) Coordination Meeting. It was a privilege to engage with key stakeholders committed to strengthening Nigeria's public health system and shaping the country's preparedness for the next Global Fund grant cycle.
The meeting focused on reviewing the performance of programmes under the Global Fund GC7 grant, identifying health system challenges, and preparing for a strong GC8 proposal. Key priorities included integrating previously fragmented health programmes, improving data quality and interoperability, strengthening financial accountability, and accelerating digital transformation through the nationwide adoption of the Multi-Disease Dashboard (MDD). The meeting also highlighted critical gaps in paediatric HIV, mental health, malaria data, and NTD supply chains, while setting clear timelines for GC7 closeout and GC8 submission. Overall, stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to building a unified, data-driven, and accountable public health system that will improve health outcomes across Nigeria.

Integrated Service Delivery Framework: Laying the Foundation for Sustainable Healthcare

Dure Technologies Nigeria participated in the National Meeting on the Integrated Service Delivery Framework for Malaria, HIV/AIDS, and Tuberculosis, a three-day strategic engagement that brought together key public health stakeholders to develop and validate a unified framework for integrated service delivery in Nigeria. The meeting highlighted the importance of transitioning from vertical disease programmes to a patient-centred, primary healthcare approach that enhances service delivery efficiency, optimizes resource utilization, strengthens health systems, and supports Nigeria's transition towards greater government ownership and financing of health programmes under the Government-to-Government (G2G) 2030 agenda.
Participants reviewed implementation strategies, governance structures, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and policy alignment while advocating for stronger data integration, interoperable digital health information systems, unified screening and reporting tools, and enhanced collaboration across disease programmes. The meeting concluded with a clear roadmap for finalizing the integrated service delivery framework, reinforcing the country's commitment to sustainable, equitable, and people-centred healthcare.

Insights from the 2026 Nigeria Environmental Summit (NEST)

On June 18th, 2026, leaders, innovators, and advocates gathered at the Abuja Continental Hotel for the Nigerian Environmental Summit (NEST) 2026. Under the theme "Unlocking Nigeria’s Green Economy: Driving Climate Action and Environmental Governance," the summit addressed the urgent need for a collective shift toward environmental sustainability and climate resilience. From waste management to green financing, the message was clear: the time for transformative change is now.
By combining youth participation, local innovation, and robust green financing, Nigeria is poised to lead the way in the global green economy.

From Vision to Scale: Reflections from the 6th Africa Digital Health Summit 2026

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers of the 6th Africa Digital Health Summit (ADHS 2026) for convening a timely and impactful platform that brought together government leaders, innovators, development partners, and digital health experts to advance Africa's digital health agenda. Held under the theme, "From Pilot to Scale: Growing Africa's Digital Health Innovation Ecosystem," the summit highlighted Nigeria's transition from fragmented digital health pilots to nationally integrated, interoperable systems through the National Digital Health Architecture (NDHA). Discussions underscored significant investment opportunities, the need to address infrastructure and workforce gaps, and the importance of governance, interoperability, and ethical AI in scaling digital health solutions. The Innovators Showcase further demonstrated emerging technologies and practical deployment models, while spotlighting opportunities for community-driven digital health adoption. Overall, the summit reaffirmed that sustainable digital transformation in healthcare will require strategic partnerships, innovative financing, and scalable, locally adapted solutions across Africa
